Our concept

In Luzzara, a border town on the banks of the Great River, a land of colors and art, stands La Cantoniera, a small restaurant with an intimate and pleasant atmosphere.

The interior is spread over two floors, featuring cozy rooms in warm London vintage style. However, the outdoor garden is the undisputed star, especially in fine weather, welcoming guests in a charming gazebo surrounded by trees, framing the beautiful façade of the 15th-century Augustinian Convent (the exhibition site of the National Museum of Naïve Arts).

The owner and chef is the young Marco Soliani, who, after various work experiences in Italy and five years in important London restaurants, decided to return to his homeland to create this little corner of paradise alongside his wife and business partner, Tara Jayne Petty, who also has years of experience managing restaurants worldwide: in the United States, Canada, Australia, London, and her native New Zealand.

Alongside them is a well-established and trained staff ready to meet every customer request with a smile.

The cuisine offered is a blend of tradition and innovation, with classic flavors reinterpreted in a modern way. It’s the international flair that perfectly complements the ancient taste of typical Emilian dishes.

The menu changes every two months to serve always fresh products suited to each season.

The aim is to satisfy everyone’s tastes while always offering new dishes without ever neglecting the most traditional meals from our region.

From ceremonies to family lunches, from dinners with friends to more intimate and romantic occasions, the venue is perfectly adaptable to any type of event.

Marco, Tara, and their staff are always available to care for your most important moments, working with you to agree on tailored menus for every situation.

Our satisfaction is the customer's satisfaction.

Welcoming people, pampering them with good wine and good food, making them feel at home, and then seeing them content and smiling around a table is our goal and our greatest victory.

This is why customer feedback is an important tool for our growth and improvement, helping us achieve the excellence we strive for every day.
